South African winger Shandre Campbell has completed a permanent move from Club Brugge to KV Kortrijk, signing a contract until 2030, his new club confirmed on Monday.

Campbell will hope for more minutes at his new club, having found them hard to come by at Brugge despite playing for the side in the UEFA Champions League.

“We are very proud to welcome Shandre Campbell to KV Kortrijk,” said Nils Vanneste, Sporting Director at KVK. “With Shandre, we have someone who brings a lot of creativity, speed and depth.

“Despite his young age, he has already gained experience in 1A. We look forward to Shandre’s first minutes at the Guldensporen Stadium.”

The 21-year-old joined Brugge from SuperSport United at the start of the 2024/25 season and made 18 appearances for the first team, but only one start, which came in a Belgian Cup clash against Eendracht Aalst Lede.

He had much more success with the reserve side, though, scoring 11 goals and providing three assists in 25 appearances.

Kortrijk won promotion to the Belgian top flight last season and are no strangers to South African players, having previously had goalkeeper Darren Keet on their books.
