Vaxjo managed to slow the Rogle train with an away victory in game three, only for it to gather pace again with a 4-1 success in game four, putting the Angelholm side one win away from reaching the SHL finals.
Rogle got off to an ideal start when Manuel Agren was sent to the box for tripping after a minute, and on the resulting powerplay a goalmouth scramble ended with Anton Bengtsson poking the puck over the line to give the visitors the lead.
Eight minutes in, Rogle were all but booking their tickets to the finals when Lubos Horky and Felix Nilsson worked well together behind the Vaxjo net before shovelling the puck back for Fredrik Olofsson to fire into the net with a quick shot.
However, the Lakers were right back in it midway through the period, as despite losing Agren again, this time for slashing, the hosts won possession and Keegan Lowe set up Eemeli Suomi to score shorthanded.
2-1 was how things stayed until late in the second period when Vaxjo equalised after Paul LaDue was called for holding, and on the powerplay the puck was worked across to Brogan Rafferty on the left, and his fierce wrist shot was tipped into the net by Dennis Rasmussen.
But all the home side's hard work to draw level was undone just over three minutes into the final period, after Olofsson attacked through the middle and took a shot on which was saved by Ludvig Persson.
Olofsson was quickest to the loose puck, and his effort on the rebound from the tighest of angles squeezed past the goaltender and - confirmed by video review - was over the goal line moments before Brian Cooper hooked it away.
Having fallen foul of one video review, another in the final two minutes confirmed Vaxjo's fate. Lukas Elvenes scored a would-be equaliser, only for it to be ruled out owing to interference on the goaltender by Suomi.
That meant Rogle held on for the 3-2 win - their fifth consecutive away success in the postseason - that sees them win the series 4-1 and sets up a rematch of the 2024 Le Mat Trophy series against Skelleftea, which is set to begin on 23rd April.
