New Orleans Saints standout rookie wide receiver Jordyn Tyson will miss 'roughly' two months with a right hamstring strain injury, according to multiple NFL insiders.

Tyson, 22, was selected No. 8 overall in the 2026 NFL Draft back in April. He finished his collegiate career with 158 receptions, 2,282 yards, and 22 touchdowns in 33 games.

The rookie has been a standout for the Saints in training camp and was expected to be a major part of the team's offense this season alongside wide receiver teammate Chris Olave

Tyson's alarming injury list continues to grow. In 2022, he tore his ACL, MCL, and PCL in his left knee. Two years later, he fractured his left collarbone. And in 2025, Tyson dealt with a Grade 2 strain in both of his hamstrings following what was an ankle sprain earlier in the year.

The Saints kick off their season on September 13th against the Detroit Lions, giving Tyson a chance to miss only a few regular season games as the preseason is still underway.

If the Saints place Tyson on Injured Reserve to finalize the 53-man roster, he will officially be out for the season. However, if they place him on IR when the regular season begins, as a member of the final roster, Tyson will only have to miss a minimum of four games.
