19:05 CET - Naomi Osaka has taken the first set against Aryna Sabalenka, and in some style too, winning 6-2 in just 32 minutes... Could there be an upset coming up for the world number one here?

18:35 CET - Aryna Sabalenka and Naomi Osaka are now underway in their heavyweight last-16 tussle on Centre Court.

18:09 CET - Seven-time former champion Novak Djokovic has advanced to his 66th (!) Grand Slam quarter-final, with the Serb overcoming the challenge of Roman Safiullin in four sets, 7-6(6), 6-3, 3-6, 6-3, on Centre Court.

The win is Djokovic's 106th victory at the All England Club - a new record - eclipsing Roger Federer's mark.

The 39-year-old was far from his best during the contest, but after recovering from a 5-2 deficit to snatch the opening set, he never looked in too much danger, hitting 43 winners to 37 unforced errors to move a step closer to a 25th major title.

Up next for Djokovic is a last-eight meeting with either third seed Felix Auger-Aliassime or Spain's Alejandro Davidovich Fokina.

17:29 CET - The immensely talented Karolina Muchova is back in the Wimbledon quarter-finals for the first time since 2021 after a hard-fought 7-5, 5-7, 6-3 triumph over fellow Czech and 2024 champion Barbora Krejcikova.

Muchova, currently ranked ninth in the world, overcame a second-set wobble to regain control of proceedings in the decider, converting 77% of points behind her first serve and firing down 14 winners to set up a last-eight meeting with either Aryna Sabalenka or Naomi Osaka.

16:22 CET - World number four Jessica Pegula is through to the Wimbledon quarter-finals for the second time in her career after recovering from a set down to see off rising star and fellow American Iva Jovic in three sets, 4-6, 6-3, 6-1.

The 32-year-old converted eight of 17 break-point opportunities in a topsy-turvy contest, eventually proving too strong for her compatriot in a one-sided decider.

Pegula will now face either Coco Gauff or Belinda Bencic for a spot in the semi-finals.
