The Baltimore Ravens released veteran kicker Justin Tucker (35) on Monday, which General Manager Eric DeCosta (54) described as a "football decision."

"Sometimes football decisions are incredibly difficult," said DeCosta. "And this is one of those instances. Considering our current roster, we have made the tough decision to release Justin Tucker."

Tucker's release follows a series of allegations against him from multiple women at different massage parlors across the Baltimore, Maryland area, though DeCosta stressed this was purely a football decision..

Prior to his release, Tucker was, and still is by most, considered the greatest kicker in NFL history who was on course for a sure-fire Hall of Fame induction after he retires.

Tucker, who spent all 13 years of his career in Baltimore, is an eight-time All-Pro, a seven-time Pro Bowler, made the NFL's 2010s All-Decade Team, currently holds the longest recorded field goal in NFL history at 66 yards, and has the highest career field-goal percentage in league history at 89.1 percent (417/468).

The post-June cut of the former Super Bowl champion creates just over $4 million in cap space for the Ravens, who drafted kicker Tyler Loop in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL Draft.

Loop is the first-ever kicker drafted by the Ravens and will wear his college number 33 this upcoming season as the team's new starting kicker.

Tucker was an undrafted free agent who was signed by the Ravens following the 2012 NFL Draft.
