The Carolina Panthers announced on Sunday that they signed wide receiver Hunter Renfrow (29) to a one-year deal.

Financial details about the signing were not revealed.

The former breakout slot receiver for the Las Vegas Raiders went unsigned this past season - not playing a single snap for any team.

Renfrow had his big year in 2021 when he posted 1,038 receiving yards and nine touchdowns on 103 receptions, earning him his one and only Pro Bowl selection.

Unfortunately, his numbers never got close to the following two years, posting a combined 585 yards and two touchdowns between 2022-2023, leaving him off a team in 2024.

However, with this signing, Refrow will be a little closer to his hometown of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

He was a fifth-round pick in the 2019 NHL Draft following a 2018 year with Clemson when he won the Burlsworth Trophy, which is awarded to the top player in the country who started his career as a walk-on.

Renfrow now joins a very crowded wide receiver room for the Panthers, which includes the following players:

Adam Thielen

Xavier Legette

Tetairoa McMillan

Jimmy Horn Jr.

David Moore

Dan Chisena

Jalen Coker

Jacolby George

Kobe Hudson
