Michigan running back Kalel Mullings (22) declared for the 2025 NFL Draft on Friday and didn't travel to Tampa with the team in preparation for their upcoming bowl game against Alabama.

Mullings posted the announcement on his Instagram.

Mullings took over the starting role from teammate and EA Sports College Football 25 cover athlete Donovan Edwards this past season, posting a team-high 948 yards on the ground with 12 rushing touchdowns.

Both Mullings and Edwards, who also declared for the draft, won't be gearing up for the ReliaQuest Bowl against Alabama on December 31st.

In his senior year, Mullings had one last chance to prove himself worthy of a draft pick and surpassed expectations. He's currently a projected sixth-round pick while Edwards is projected to go undrafted, according to NFL Mock Draft Database.
