Myles Garrett has agreed a record contract extension worth $40 million per year and includes $123.5 million in guaranteed money with the Cleveland Browns. As a result, he has become the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history.
The Browns have officially announced the four-year deal.
Initially, Garrett wanted to be traded to a team that could contend for the championship, but the Browns were sure they wouldn't let him go.
However, a deal has finally been struck, meaning the standoff has come to an end.
Last season, Garrett became the first player to record 100 career sacks before his 29th birthday, in addition to being named the AP Defensive Player of the Year in 2023.
