NFL Honours announces finalists for MVP and other awards

The finalists for all of the NFL regular season awards were announced on Thursday.

Snoop Dogg will be hosting this year's NFL Honors on February 6, 2025, where the next recipient of the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award will also be announced. Below are the finalists for each category and their regular season stats:

AP Most Valuable Player

Lamar Jackson (QB, Baltimore Ravens): 4,172 passing yards, 41 passing touchdowns, 4 interceptions, 915 rushing yards, 4 rushing touchdowns, 66.7 completion percentage, 119.6 passer rating

Josh Allen (QB, Buffalo Bills): 3,731 passing yards, 28 passing touchdowns, 6 interceptions, 531 rushing yards, 12 rushing touchdowns, 63.6 completion percentage, 101.4 passer rating

Jared Goff (QB, Detroit Lions): 4,629 passing yards, 37 passing touchdowns, 12 interceptions, 72.4 completion percentage, 111.8 passer rating

Saquon Barkley (RB, Philadelphia Eagles): 2,005 rushing yards, 13 rushing touchdowns, 278 receiving yards, 2 touchdowns 

AP Defensive Player of the Year

Zack Baun (LB, Philadelphia Eagles): 151 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, 5 forced fumbles, 4 pass deflections, 3.5 sacks, 1 interception

Myles Garrett (DE, Cleveland Browns): 47 tackles, 22 tackles for loss, 14 sacks, 3 forced fumbles, 1 pass deflection

Trey Hendrickson (DE, Cincinnati Bengals): 46 tackles, 19 tackles for loss, 17.5 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, 6 pass deflections

T.J. Watt (LB, Pittsburgh Steelers): 61 tackles, 19 tackles for loss, 11.5 sacks, 6 forced fumbles, 4 pass deflections

Patrick Surtain II (CB, Denver Broncos): 45 tackles, 11 pass deflections, 4 interceptions, 1 touchdown, 1 tackle for loss, 1 forced fumble
