Neal was drafted 17th overall in the 2016 NFL Draft by the Atlanta Falcons - where he spent the first five years of his career. The former safety posted his announcement on Instagram.
The Florida native only started every game in a single season just once in his career - in 2017 when he made his one and only Pro Bowl after recording 116 tackles, three forced fumbles, six pass deflections, and one interception.
In 2021, Neal joined the Dallas Cowboys for the season and switched his position to linebacker but went back to defensive back in 2022 with the Miami Dolphins and in 2023 with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
After not playing in 2024, Neal wrapped his career up (89 games, 69 starts) with 523 tackles, 22 tackles for loss, eight forced fumbles, four interceptions, and 2.5 sacks.
