Pickens, who has been dealing with a hamstring injury, will be back on the field for Pittsburgh after missing the past two weeks.
"I think it's self-explanatory," said head coach Mike Tomlin. "He is a splash playmaker. He's a one-on-one playmaker. Oftentimes he controls schematics, which creates one-on-ones for others, or a light box regarding the run."
Pickens leads the Steelers in targets (90), receptions (55), receiving yards (850), and first-down receptions (35). The three-year receiver needs 12 receptions, 340 yards, and two more touchdowns over the next two games to set career highs.
Meanwhile, Steelers cornerback Joey Porter Jr. has been ruled out for Wednesday's game while quarterback Justin Fields is questionable with an abdomen injury. Defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi, cornerback Donte Jackson, and safety DeShon Elliott will all be active as well.
