Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker T.J. Watt (30) could play as early as this upcoming week against heated rivals the Baltimore Ravens after suffering an ankle injury on Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Watt left Sunday's game early after coming up holding his ankle trying to get after quarterback Jalen Hurts. After undergoing further tests, x-rays came back negative on his ankle, opening the door for him to play in a crucial game against the Ravens

"I just saw (T.J. Watt) walking around rather comfortably,” said head coach Mike Tomlin in Monday's press conference. “But, again, he’s questionable with his ankle, we’ll see where the roads lead us.”

The Steelers ended up losing against the Eagles 27-13 and will face the Ravens in a game which could decide who comes away with the AFC North title by season's end.

Watt is tied for third in the league in sacks (11.5) and leads the NFL in both tackles for a loss (18) and forced fumbles (6).

The six-time Pro Bowler, four-time All-Pro, and 2021 Defensive Player of the Year is a key piece in stopping the Ravens and will be a gigantic hole in Pittsburgh's defence if he isn't ready to go on Sunday.

The Steelers currently hold first place in the AFC North with a 10-4 record while the Ravens have a 9-4 record. Pittsburgh took the first win of the two matchups this season back in November by a close score of 18-16, a game in which the Steelers won on strictly field goals.
