Chicago Cubs infielder Justin Turner hit his first-ever regular-season walk-off home run in the bottom of the ninth inning during Sunday's game against the Baltimore Orioles.
The 40-year-old Turner came in as a pinch-hitter, and the rest is history - he had finally achieved something he had never done before en route to a 5-3 win.
Chicago's veteran infielder may not be having a great season, slashing .217/.291/.326, but he is against left-handed pitching - hitting .292 with a .810 OPS.
All three of his home runs this year have come against lefties, and a veteran bat like Turner's could prove to be useful for a Cubs team looking to make a World Series push.
The Cubs are currently in second place in the National League West division, sitting 2.5 games behind the Milwaukee Brewers with a 65-46 record.
