The Philadelphia Phillies have agreed on a one-year, $10 million deal with outfielder Max Kepler (31), according to ESPN.

The signing was first reported by Phillies beat writer Todd Zolecki.

Kepler is coming off of a solid year for the Minnesota Twins. The 10-year veteran slashed .253/.302/.380/.682 with eight home runs and 42 RBI in 105 games last season.

Despite going a decade without any awards, Kepler is hailed out of Minnesota as possessing a solid bat but an even better glove, something the Phillies desperately need in their outfield.

He had a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage this past season playing right field. His .992 fielding percentage is ranked fourth career-wise among all active right fielders.

Kepler's current career .993 fielding percentage also ranks fourth in the MLB among every outfielder.

With him being a career .237 hitter whose power numbers have greatly fluctuated with each season after 2019, it's clear the Phillies are bringing him in to bolster their fielding as they look to make a World Series push in 2025.
