The Milwaukee Brewers won their 12th straight game on Wednesday - the second time in franchise history the team has ever accomplished the feat.

After taking down the Pittsburgh Pirates 12-5, the Brewers have yet to lose a single game in August. They are now two games away from breaking the franchise record (13).

Starting pitcher Brandon Woodruff tossed four shutout innings before relief pitcher Jared Koenig earned his fifth win of the season.

The Brewers' 12 runs marked 11 games of the past 15 with at least seven runs or more, having outscored their opponents 103-39 during the win streak - yes, you read that correctly.

To put into perspective how utterly dominant the Brewers have been, their 103 runs in August are the most in baseball by a jaw-dropping 35 runs - Toronto Blue Jays are behind them with 68.

Their 141 hits also lead all of baseball and are tied with Toronto for the best batting average (.323).

They have swept four straight teams in the Washington Nationals, Atlanta Braves, New York Mets, and now the Pirates. Milwaukee is now 32 games over .500 with a 76-44 record as they begin to pull far and away from the rest of the league.

Milwaukee is 37-9 in their last 46 games.

"It's really fun to think about what they're creating. I'm really, really happy for them," said Brewers Manager Pat Murphy on the way his team is playing.

All while doing this with the fifth-youngest lineup (26.9 years old) in all of baseball.

And it started with a simple pocket pancake.
