The New York Mets and Sean Manaea (32) agreed to a three-year, $75 million deal to bring the starting pitcher back to Queens, pending a physical.

Manaea originally opted out of the second year of his previous contract ($28 million) and rejected New York's $21.05 qualifying offer. Now, he'll earn the biggest payday of his career.

Manaea's 3.47 ERA last season for the Mets was his lowest ever. The nine-year veteran threw a career-high 181.2 innings last season, giving up 134 hits and 63 walks while striking out 184 batters, marking his 6.6 hits per nine innings as another career-low - by far (7.9 in 2018).

Manaea originally spent the first six years of his career with the Athletics before moving to the San Diego Padres (2022) and San Francisco Giants (2023). But it looks like the righty has found a home in Queens as he looks to aid the Mets in a 2025 World Series push.

Manaea has a career 4.00 ERA with 1109 strikeouts in 1184.1 innings pitched.
