Los Angeles Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani is on a tear after he homered in his third straight game - becoming the first player in Major League Baseball to reach the 20 home run mark this season.

In 2024, it took Ohtani 75 games to reach 20 homers. This season? Only 55 games.

His 20th this season came off Cleveland Guardians starting pitcher Tanner Bibee. The Dodgers are currently up 5-3 heading into the seventh inning.

Ohtani's two-run blast brought his RBI total for the season up to 35 RBI while slashing .297/.395/1.055 heading into his fourth at-bat of the game.

The reigning National League Most Valuable Player took the MLB lead in home runs with his 19th on Monday night, jumping New York Yankees star Aaron Judge and Philadelphia Phillies power hitter Kyle Schwarber, both of whom still have 18 home runs.
