The Golden State Warriors acquired star forward Jimmy Butler (35) from the Miami Heat in a massive five-team trade ahead of Thursday's deadline, according to NBA insider Shams Charania.

Butler signed a two-year, $121 million extension with the Warriors through 2026-27.

Full details of the trade include the following:

Warriors receive: Jimmy Butler

Heat receive: Andrew Wiggins, P.J. Tucker, first-round pick (protected)

Jazz receive: Dennis Schroder

Raptors receive: Kyle Anderson (pending due to issues)

Pistons receive: Lindy Waters III and Josh Richardson

Butler has seen his name in plenty of headlines over the past month for the Heat after multiple instances where the team suspended him for his off-the-court conduct.

The six-time All-Star and 14-year veteran is averaging 17.0 points, 5.2 rebounds, 4.8 assists, and 1.1 steals per game this season. He'll be joining a Warriors team that is currently ranked 10th in the Western Conference with a 25-24 record.

Wiggins (29), who is averaging 17.6 points per game this year, spent the past six seasons with the Warriors. Meanwhile, Schroder (31), averaging 10.6 points per game for the team, was acquired in a trade with the Brooklyn Nets earlier in the season.

Anderson (31), averaging 5.3 points per game in 15.0 minutes, was in his first season with the Warriors. Lindy Waters III, also in his first year with the Warriors, was averaging 5.5 points.
