The Milwaukee Bucks have signed Myles Turner and, more importantly, said goodbye to Damian Lillard, who was cut from the franchise in the biggest shock of the NBA free agency period yet.

In the space of a few minutes in the morning, the Milwaukee Bucks served up two huge moves on a platter.

First, they secured the signature of Myles Turner, who played a crucial role in the Indiana Pacers ' run to the NBA Finals.

Despite the Pacers' rhetoric about not being afraid to pay big to re-sign him, Tyrese Haliburton's serious injury undoubtedly changed things, and the offer made to him was low.

As a result, he has signed for the Bucks for four years and $109 million.

Then, mere minutes later, Milwaukee announced that Damian Lillard was going to be cut. The famous stretch provision will be used to pay the remaining $113 million on his contract over five years, instead of two.

After two seasons, he'll therefore be leaving Wisconsin, and will have to endure a long off-season due to a ruptured Achilles tendon suffered during the playoffs.
