The New York Knicks pulled away from the Detroit Pistons after they went on a 21-0 scoring run in the fourth quarter to seal their Game 1 victory on Saturday.

After being up just by two points at halftime, the New York Knicks went on to win the game 123-112 over the Detroit Pistons

Three of the Knicks' starters scored over 20 points while shooting over 50 percent from the field.

Jalen Brunson shook off a twisted ankle to score 23 of his 34 points in the second half.

Karl-Anthony Towns put up 23-point double-double while OG Anunoby scored 23 points himself for the Knicks.

The Knicks trailed 91-83 heading into the fourth quarter of a back-and-forth battle that featured 12 lead changes over the first three periods.

"Staying smart and composed," Brunson said of the key for the Knicks. "Just us being smart and finding a way to win the game."

It was all Knicks after they went on a 21-0 run in the fourth.

Tobias Harris scored 25 points and Cade Cunningham added 21 for the Pistons, who are in the playoffs for the first time since 2019, but haven't won a playoff game since 2008.

Game 2 between the Knicks and Pistons will take place on Tuesday, April 21st, in New York.
