Portland Trailblazers Shaedon Sharpe (21) caused a ripple in the Earth's core after putting down one of the most violent dunks in recent memory to skyrocket him to a 'Dunk of the Year' award.

The dunk came during the Blazers' Wednesday matchup against the Washington Wizards where Sharpe put Justin Champagnie on a poster.

Not only did Sharpe possibly put the Dunk of the Year award under wraps, but he had a career night.

Sharpe shot 13-of-26 from the floor setting a new career-best 36 points in the team's 129-121 win over the Wizards. He also had eight rebounds, five assists, a steal and a block.

Sharpe is in his third season with the Blazers after the team took him seventh overall in the 2022 NBA Draft. The Ontario, Canada native is currently on pace to set a personal best points-per-game average this year.

He was currently at 16.9 points per game (50 games) heading into the matchup against Washington but was at 15.9 points per game the previous year in 32 games.

The Blazers are 12th in the Western Conference with a 26-33 record. Portland will look to try and extend their current three-game win streak when they face the Brooklyn Nets on February 28th.
