The Champions League semi-finals have arrived, with two weeks of heavyweight clashes between four teams who all believe they can go all the way. This is the stage where mental strength is just as important as physical ability and one mistake will likely be a costly one - it is do or die time.

Wednesday, April 30th

22:55 CET - An unforgettable night of Champions League semi-final action comes to an end, and after everything, nothing separates the sides heading into next week's second leg.

A 3-3 thriller sets up the second leg in Milan perfectly.

22:47 CET - Lamine Yamal is having a performance reminiscent of the great Leo Messi, and the 17-year-old is inches away from adding his second of a magical night. He is denied this time after a looping effort curled for an age before hitting the crossbar.

22:35 CET - As great as Barcelona are in attack, their incredibly high line always gives their opposition chances, especially a side like Inter who are so good at creating chances through their wing-backs.

The visitors had the ball in the net for the fourth time tonight, but luckily for Barcelona, it was just offside.

22:27 CET - WHAT IS THIS GAME? Another corner, this time for the hosts, finds Raphinha on the edge of the area (after it was taken short), and the Brazilian launches an incredible strike which deflects off Sommer's back and into the net after hitting the crossbar!

This is a Champions League semi-final for the ages.

22:25 CET - I spoke too soon! This incredible game takes another twist as Dumfires scores his second goal for the night (again from a corner) to restore Inter's lead. Incredible.

22:20 CET - After such a thrilling and high-intensity first half, the first 15 minutes of the second has felt like both sides taking stock before they go to battle again.

It is Barcelona dominating and probing but no clear-cut chances of note.

22:04 CET - Okay, have you got your breath back from that first half? Whether you have or not, the second half is here!

So strap in, this should be epic...

21:50 CET - Wow. What a half of football that was.

It ends all square with Yamal and Barcelona turning on the style to draw level after a stunning start from the visitors.

Roll on the second half of what is already a Champions League classic.

21:40 CET - 2-2! Barcelona have completed the fightback! They've drawn level through Ferran, who turned in a header across goal from Raphinha!

This is a match that will live long in the memory. And we're not even halfway through it yet.

21:26 CET - Lamine Yamal! The wonderkid has got his side back into the tie with a stunning goal!

The teenager picked the ball up on the right and glided past an Inter defender before sending a beautiful left-footed strike into the far corner! Game on!

21:23 CET - Talk about the curse of the commentator! Just as I say Barca are doing well, Inter go and make it 2-0!

After creating the opening goal with a lovely cross, Denzel Dumfries has scored the second with an acrobat volley!

21:21 CET - The hosts have responded well after their nightmare start, with Ferran Torres almost drawing his side level twice. This has been breathless stuff so far.

21:03 CET - What a start for Inter! They've taken the lead just a minute in thanks to a stunning flick from Marcus Thuram! What a goal that is!

19:10 CET - This isn't the first time that Barcelona and Inter have met in the Champions League semi-finals, with them famously doing so 15 years ago in a battle that Jose Mourinho's Inter ultimately edged on their way to winning the treble.

That went down in history as one of the great Champions League ties, and there's reason to believe that this one will too.

Read why that's the case here.

18:45 CET - Hello and welcome to Flashscore's coverage of the opening leg of the Champions League semi-final between Barcelona and Inter Milan!

Tonight's action will take place in Spain, with Barca looking to win their fifth home match in a row - they haven't lost in their own backyard since just before Christmas.

Inter on the other hand are enduring their worst run in a long time, with the reigning Italian champions winless in their four games with the most recent three all being defeats.

That being said, they're the only side that have lost just once in the Champions League this season, and their task tonight will be made easier by the fact that the hosts are without Robert Lewandowski.

The match will kick off at 21:00 CET, and we'll bring you the team news in just over an hour.

Tuesday, April 29th

23:00 CET - That is where we leave you tonight, but come back tomorrow at the same time for the second and equally fascinating semi-final as Barcelona host Inter Milan.

22:56 CET - All over in London! PSG hold on to get a win they richly deserved on the night. Worryingly for Arsenal, it could have been by more too, as PSG schooled them at times.

A big second leg to come next week, and Arsenal fans will still believe they can pull something off, but it is now an uphill task.

22:50 CET - Five minutes added on! Five minutes for Arsenal to rescue something from this first leg and give themselves more hope in Paris.

22:43 CET - So close from Bradley Barcola, who had the chance to put PSG in cruise control! His effort on the counter squeezed just wide of the post, and he should have done better with the time and space he had.

22:37 CET - A chance on the counter for PSG is wasted by Joao Neves, whose effort skies well over the bar.

22:30 CET - The game has arrived into its first quiet period as Arsenal are on top but without looking like a threat.

The perfect night so far for PSG.

22:15 CET - A dangerous drive from the imperious Declan Rice almost results in a goal as he slips in Leandro Trossard for a chance one-on-one, but he is denied by one of the best in the business.

Gianluigi Donnarumma somehow gets a finger to deny the effort that was heading for the bottom corner.

World-class goal-keeping from both keepers tonight.

22:10 CET - After a lengthy VAR check, the goal is ruled out for offside against Mikel Merino! 1-0 it remains.

22:07 CET - The start of the second half has delivered another early goal! Arsenal are level and, predictably given their prowess from these positions, it has come from a set-piece.

The hero against Real Madrid, Declan Rice, has delivered again with an inch-perfect free-kick, which Merino headed into the net.

21:50 CET - That would prove to be the last key action of a breathless half in London. PSG lead, but Arsenal are not out of this...

21:48 CET - A big chance on the brink of half-time for Arsenal! Incredible work from the immense Myles Lewis-Skelly as the youngster won the ball back before slipping in a perfect pass for Gabriel Martinelli who has to score, but his tame effort is well saved by Gianluigi Donnarumma.

21:42 CET - A tricky bit of play from Bukayo Saka and it is inches away from an equaliser! After taking on two players, Saka lofted a ball over the keeper and towards Martinelli at the back post, but he couldn't quite get a touch to direct it into an empty net.

Much better from Arsenal who are growing into this game.

21:33 CET - How is it not 2-0 to PSG? Another brilliantly worked move falls to the dangerous Desire Doue on the edge of the box, and his low-driven effort was heading in, but fortunately for Arsenal, David Raya got down quickly to deny him.

A world-class save to deny the visitors going 2-0 up.

21:22 CET - Since the goal, it has been almost all PSG as the Parisians look to insert their dominance in the tie. Arsenal, though, have looked a threat on the counter. They need an equaliser soon to calm some nerves, you feel.

21:16 CET - Ousmane Dembele has scored his eighth goal in the 2024/2025 UEFA Champions League, netting for the first time since 11th March 2025 against Liverpool, as per Opta.

21:07 CET - PSG's two stars have combined brilliantly to give the visitors a shock early lead away from home!

Ousmane Dembele plays a smart one-two with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia before his shot into the ground hits the post on its way in from the edge of the box.

It is the dream start for PSG but the worst possible one for Arsenal. Nightmare for the Gunners.

21:01 CET - A minute of silence before the game in honour of Pope Francis, and then it is go time!

20:55 CET - It is almost go time as the five-minute countdown is on! The atmosphere is rising as we approach kick-off and the players are in the tunnel.

20:45 CET - Arsenal have good reason to be optimistic, though:

Arsenal are unbeaten in their last eight games in the UEFA Champions League (W7 D1). This is their second-longest run without defeat within a single edition, following a 12-game streak in 2005-06 (W8 D4), when they achieved their only final appearance in the competition (finished as runners-up), as per Opta.

20:35 CET - As we near kick-off at the Emirates, the task ahead for Arsenal is a difficult one.

A key reason for that is highlighted in this Opta insight:

87% of Paris SG’s pressures in the UEFA Champions League this season have been applied with high-intensity; the highest percentage of any team. Meanwhile, midfielder Joao Neves (715) is the player with the most high-intensity pressures applied in the tournament this term.

19:40 CET - Team news is in from the Emirates Stadium! The good news for Arsenal fans is that Bukayo Saka starts for the Gunners.

As for PSG, Desire Doue's impressive form in this competition keeps him in the starting eleven as Luis Enrique names his strongest side.

19:00 CET - Hello and welcome to a huge night at the Emirates! It is first leg action from the Champions League semi-finals as Arsenal host PSG. It doesn't get much bigger than this.

In many ways, the story of this clash is one of two clubs desperate to win their maiden Champions League title. PSG have come much closer to Arsenal in recent times, but after Mikel Arteta's side blew away the holders in the quarter-finals, they will be no pushovers.

PSG, meanwhile, are having an impressive season and are the most coherent side since they were purchased by QSI in 2011.

Luis Enrique has assembled a young, hungry and talented side, developed more senior players like Ousmane Dembele into the best versions of themselves and has instilled a winning mentality previously missing.

The first setback of the season came last weekend as they were stunned by Nice to bring an end to their unbeaten domestic season. However, perhaps their minds were already on the game tonight as they look to face their Champions League ghosts.

Arsenal have proven to be suited this season to the Champions League, with Arteta's move to a more defensive set-up has made them difficult to break down. And on the counter, they pose a big threat with talisman Bukayo Saka.

Whichever way tonight goes (it is hard to call), this should be a spectacle you don't want to miss.
