Volson was selected in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft by the Bengals.
Last season, the 27-year-old was on the field for 87% of the offensive snaps and played in all 17 games (15 starts), making it three straight seasons where he played in every game. He was only held out for the final game of the season, along with other starters, after Cincinnati clinched their playoff birth.
Volson set a career high in both sacks (six) and penalties (eight) last season. In his first two seasons, Volson played 100% of the offensive snaps.
The improvements in the run game are there. In his rookie year, Volson posted a 51.2 run-blocking grade, while last season he brought it up to a serviceable 65.6. However, his 48.8 pass-blocking grade was ranked 97th out of 136 guards.
Volson has a $3.1 million cap hit for the year and is set to become an unrestricted free agent during the offseason.
