The Dallas Cowboys signed veteran defensive end Jadeveon Clowney moments after the team won in overtime against the New York Giants on Sunday.

His deal is for one year, $3.5 million, but is worth up to $6 million with incentives. Clowney visited the Cowboys last week and will now be a key piece on their defensive line.

Dallas will be Clowney's seventh team in 12 years.

The 32-year-old played for the Carolina Panthers in 2024, recording 46 tackles, 11 quarterback hits, nine tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, and four pass deflections in 14 games.

In what will become 12 seasons once he hits the field for Dallas, Clowney has been selected to three Pro Bowls while posting 58 career sacks, 32 pass deflections, and 15 forced fumbles in 140 games (127 starts).

He tied his career high in sacks (9.5) when he was on the Baltimore Ravens in 2023 and is now looking to help a Cowboys pass rush that is without superstar Micah Parsons

Dallas is coming off a 40-37 overtime win against a Giants team that had 450 yards in the air and three touchdowns (read here for the full game recap). However, the Cowboys did manage to record three sacks after recording just one in their Week 1 match against the Eagles.
