Edmonton Oilers rookie Isaac Howard scored his first career goal during Tuesday's game against the Ottawa Senators.

Howard's goal came off a Leon Draisaitl (2) assist in front of the net just 49 seconds into the second period.

The 21-year-old was the 31st overall selection in the 2022 NHL Draft. He spent last season at Michigan State University, where he put up 26 goals and 26 assists in 37 games.

Howard would go on to put up one assist in four games en route to a gold medal for Team USA at the 2025 World Championships.

A year prior, he won a gold medal with Team USA during the World Junior Championships in Sweden after scoring seven goals in seven games with two assists.

He won five awards after being named to the Big Ten All-Tournament Team and All-Big Ten First Team.

The awards include: Big Ten Scoring Champion, Big Ten Player of the Year, Big Ten Tournament MVP, Hobey Baker Award (top NCAA hockey player), and AHCA West First Team All-American.

Now, Howard is playing on an Oilers team coming off back-to-back Stanley Cup Finals appearances.
