FIFA Club World Cup 2025: Location, Host Cities and StadiumsAFP
The responsibility for hosting FIFA’s newly expanded Club World Cup belongs to the US, as 32 teams from the six continental confederations descend on American soil this summer. A total of 12 venues will stage 63 matches throughout the tournament, with the final scheduled to take place at the imposing MetLife Stadium on Sunday, July 13th.

FIFA Club World Cup 2025: Location, Host Cities and Stadiums

As future co-hosts of the 2026 World Cup, the U.S. has the privilege of staging this summer’s Club World Cup. After a lengthy selection process, the tournament’s 12 host stadiums were announced last September.

In this article, we’ll provide a detailed overview of each of these 12 state-of-the-art venues. In addition to sharing basic information such as the stadium’s opening date, location, and maximum capacity, we’ll also explore its history, purpose, and current tenants. Furthermore, we’ll confirm every 2025 Club World Cup fixture taking place in each arena this summer.

Florida’s Hard Rock Stadium will stage the opening clash of the tournament, as 2024 Supporters’ Shield winners Inter Miami meet reigning CAF Champions League titleholders Al Ahly.

Start date: Saturday 14th June

Date of final: Sunday 13th July

Venue: 11 host cities across the U.S

TV channels/Streams: DAZN is the exclusive international broadcaster of the 2025 Club World Cup

Host cities (stadiums): Mercedes-Benz Stadium (Atlanta, Georgia), TQL Stadium (Cincinnati, Ohio), Bank of America Stadium (Charlotte, North Carolina), Rose Bowl Stadium (Los Angeles, California), Hard Rock Stadium (Miami, Florida), GEODIS Park (Nashville, Tennessee), MetLife Stadium (New Jersey), Camping World Stadium (Orlando, Florida), Inter&Co Stadium (Orlando, Florida), Lincoln Financial Field (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania), Lumen Field (Seattle, Washington), Audi Field (Washington, D.C.)

In which cities and stadiums will this year’s FIFA Club World Cup group stage be played?

All 12 Club World Cup stadiums will host at least one group stage fixture, with some teams playing at the same location on more than one occasion.

This eclectic mix of venues – varying in size, age, and architectural design – are situated across ten different states, with most concentrated on the country’s eastern seaboard. Florida is the only state that provides residence to multiple venues, as two arenas in Orlando and one in Miami make the cut.

We take a look at each stadium in further detail below and confirm their respective Club World Cup 2025 match schedules.

Atlanta (GA) – Mercedez-Benz Stadium

Replacing the city’s previous flagship arena, the Mercedez-Benz Stadium sits in the location once occupied by the iconic Georgia Dome. The home of NFL outfit Atlanta Falcons and 2018 MLS Cup Champions Atlanta United, the imposing stadium holds a maximum capacity of 75,000 spectators.

An intricately designed retractable roof is arguably the venue’s most recognizable feature, creating the illusion of a bird’s wings expanding when opened. The Mercedez-Benz Stadium has been selected to host Super Bowl LXII in 2028, and will also stage several matches during the FIFA 2026 World Cup.

Mercedes-Benz Stadium – Club World Cup 2025 match schedule

Match 1: Group D – Chelsea vs TBC (Monday 16th June, 3.00pm)

Match 2: Group A – Inter Miami vs FC Porto (Thursday 19th June, 3.00pm)

Match 3: Group G – Manchester City vs Al Ain (Sunday 22nd June, 9.00pm)

Charlotte (NC) – Bank of America Stadium

Having already served as the home of the Carolina Panthers for almost two decades, the Bank of America Stadium welcomed a second tenant in 2022. MLS expansion franchise Charlotte FC were given access to the 75,000-seater venue ahead of their inaugural league campaign, enabling soccer fans in North Carolina to watch elite-level matches on a regular basis.

Originally called the Ericsson Stadium until local-based financial services firm Bank of America purchased naming rights in 2004, the ground has hosted a series glamour friendly ties involving some of the world’s biggest clubs, a handful of CONCACAF Gold Cup clashes, and two Copa América knockout stage matches.

Match 1: Group H – Real Madrid vs Pachuca (Sunday 22nd June, 3.00pm)

Match 2: Group C – Benfica vs Bayern Munich (Tuesday 24th June, 3.00pm)

Cincinnati – TQL Stadium

A venue built exclusively to host football (soccer) matches, the modestly-sized TQL Stadium is located in Cincinnati’s West End district. Constructed at the former site of the relocated Stargel Stadium, the recently constructed arena provides residence to 2023 MLS Supporters’ Shield winners FC Cincinnati. Although the ground is unable to hold more than 26,000 spectators, ‘Orange and Blue’ fans pack the terraces every other week. By the conclusion of the 2024 MLS campaign, the TQL Stadium’s average attendance sat at an impressive 25,265

The U.S. men’s team have fond memories of this venue, having won in each of their first three appearances here. After initially registering a 2-0 victory over Mexico in a 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier, the Stars and Stripes comfortably defeated Morocco in an international friendly. Returning to the TQL Stadium in September 2024, the U.S. then overcame local rivals Canada in a nerve-shredding penalty shootout to advance to the semi-final stage of the CONCACAF Gold Cup.

Having originally been fitted with a synthetic hybrid surface, the stadium has contained a fully grass pitch since July 2024.

Los Angeles (CA) – Rose Bowl Stadium

The largest of the tournament’s twelve venues and boasting the eleventh-highest seating capacity in North America, the Rose Bowl Stadium is steeped in U.S. sporting history. The legendary arena hosts the annual Rose Bowl game, pitting two of the country’s strongest college football teams against one another on the first day of the calendar year.

In addition to hosting the Super Bowl on five separate occasions, the Pasadena-based stadium has witnessed both the Men’s and Women’s FIFA World Cup finals. It was the setting for Roberto Baggio’s infamous penalty miss, resulting in the former Juventus attacker handing Brazil a record-breaking fourth World Cup crown.

Miami (FL) – Hard Rock Stadium

A giant multi-purpose venue located in Miami’s northern suburbs, the Hard Rock Stadium has been selected to stage a vast range of high-profile sporting events. The 65,000-seater arena has welcomed MLB, NFL, and WWE fans, and is the home of AFC East Division members Miami Dolphins and the Miami Hurricanes college football team. Unveiled in 1987 after an eighteen-month construction period, Hard Rock Café Inc. acquired naming rights to the stadium on a multi-year contract in August 2016.

Although crowd trouble would somewhat cast a shadow over proceedings, the Hard Rock Stadium hosted the hotly-anticipated 2024 Copa América final between Argentina and Columbia. Lionel Messi would captain his native homeland to glory on that particular day, but can the diminutive superstar inspire Inter Miami to victory in the opening match of the 2025 Club World Cup?

Hard Rock Stadium – Club World Cup 2025 match schedule

Match 1: Group A (tournament opener) – Al Ahly vs. Inter Miami (Saturday 14th June, 8.00pm)

Match 6: Mamelodi Sundowns vs Fluminense (Wednesday 25th June, 3.00pm)

Nashville (TN) – GEODIS Park

Situated amongst the historic Nashville Fairgrounds, GEODIS Park boasts an eye-catching symmetrical design. Having previously used the nearby Nissan Stadium throughout their first two seasons in the MLS, former USL outfit Nashville SC became tenants of the 30,000-seater venue in 2022.

Having beaten a series of top Mexican and American sides en route to the final of the 2023 Leagues Cup, Nashville SC were handed the opportunity to stage the tournament’s showpiece at their home stadium. The hosts would unfortunately succumb to a heart-breaking penalty shootout defeat to Inter Miami, with Coyotes goalkeeper Elliot Panicco missing the decisive spot-kick.

Match 2: Group C – Auckland City vs Boca Juniors (Tuesday 24th June, 2.00pm)

Match 3: Group H – Al Hilal vs Pachuca (Thursday 26th June, 8.00pm)

East Rutherford (NJ) – MetLife Stadium

Located five miles west of New York City’s bustling centre, the MetLife Stadium is the most expensive sports arena ever constructed in the United States. Costing $1.6bn to construct, the colossal 82,500-seater stadium is the shared home of local NFL heavyweights New York Giants and New York Jets.

In addition to having a busier schedule than any other Club World Cup venue this summer, the MetLife Stadium has been selected to host the 2026 FIFA World Cup final.

Match 5: Group A – Porto vs Al Ahly (Monday 23rd June, 9.00pm)

Orlando (FL) – Camping World Stadium

The larger of the two Orlando-based Club World Cup venues, the Camping World Stadium – previously named the Florida Citrus Bowl – boasts almost a century of rich sporting history. In addition to hosting annual high-profile college football contests, the city centre venue shouldered the responsibility of staging several FIFA World Cup and Summer Olympics ‘soccer’ matches in 1994 and 1996 respectively.

It served as the temporary home of Orlando City as they took their first tentative steps in the MLS, with 62,510 fans cramming into the stadium to see the Lions’ debut appearance in the U.S. top flight. Brazilian legend Kaká was the hero of the hour, curling home an injury-time free-kick to earn a 1-1 draw with fellow league newcomers New York City.

Match 1: Group D – TBC vs Flamengo (Tuesday 24th June, 9.00pm)

Match 2: Group G – Juventus vs Manchester City (Thursday 26th June, 3.00pm)

Orlando (FL) – Inter&Co Stadium

Built for the sole purpose of hosting soccer fixtures, the Inter&Co Stadium provides residence to 2022 U.S. Open Cup winners Orlando City and reigning NWSL champions Orlando Pride. Both the U.S. men’s and women’s national teams have played on numerous occasions at this classic box-shaped arena, while Spanish giants Atlético Madrid visited in 2019 to contest the annual MLS All-Star game. Having only been selected to host a single Group F and Group C fixture, Diego Simeone’s men will not return to the Inter&Co Stadium this summer.

Paying homage to the victims of the tragic shooting at Orlando’s Pulse Nightclub in 2016, the stadium’s section 12 enclosure contains 49 rainbow-coloured seats.

Match 1: Group F – Ulsan HD vs Mamelodi Sundowns (Tuesday 17th June, 6.00pm)

Match 2: Group C – Benfica vs Auckland City (Friday 20th June, 12.00pm)

Philadelphia (PA) – Lincoln Financial Field

Although more familiar with hosting American Football clashes, the Lincoln Financial Field has seen soccer fans occupy its spectacular domed terraces on multiple occasions. Whenever Philadelphia Union invite a high-profile European club to Pennsylvania, the ‘Zolos’ invariably favour the more grandiose surroundings of the 69,000-capacity stadium over their Subaru Park home.

Within two months of its completion, Lincoln Financial Field hosted the opening match of the FIFA Women’s 2003 World Cup between Norway and France. It sits adjacent to the Citizens Bank Park within the South Philadelphia Sports Complex, having been constructed within spitting distance of the now-demolished Veterans Stadium.

Match 6: Group H – Red Bull Salzburg vs Real Madrid (Thursday 26th June, 9.00pm)

Seattle (WA) – Lumen Field

Renowned for enabling Seattle Seahawks fans to generate a cacophony of noise on matchdays, Lumen Field has allegedly produced some of the largest spectator roars in history. While they can’t quite command the same-sized audiences as their NFL cousins, the Seattle Sounders have enjoyed several landmark triumphs at the 69,000-capacity stadium.

The ‘Rave Green’ have impressively won all four major soccer finals that have been staged at this unique, amphitheatre-style venue. After defeating Columbus Crew and Chicago Fire to secure back-to-back US Open titles, the Sounders overcame 2019 MLS Cup final opponents Toronto FC in front of a record-breaking crowd before dispatching Mexican outfit Pumas UNAM 3-0 to earn a maiden CONCACAF Champions League crown.

The only team to be competing on home turf during the 2025 Club World Cup, all three of Seattle Sounders’ Group B fixtures will take place at Lumen Field.

Match 6: Group E – Inter Milan vs River Plate (Wednesday 25th June, 6.00pm)

Washington, D.C. – Audi Field

Despite being one of the league’s smallest stadiums, Audi Field is home to the most successful team in the history of the MLS. Eastern Conference outfit D.C. United have won four MLS Cups, three U.S Open titles, and a CONCACAF Champions Cup, and were the last ever recipients of the pan-continental Copa Interamericana.

Although located in the nation’s capital, the USNMT have only played at the 20,000-seater stadium on two previous occasions. After suffering a disappointing 1-0 loss to Jamaica in their first outing, the Stars and Stripes returned to hammer Cuba on the opening matchday of the inaugural CONCACAF Nations League campaign.

Audi Field has staged several Lacross Premier League encounters and also provides residence to USLS participants DC Power FC and 2021 NWSL winners Washington Pride.
