Almost simultaneously with the happy family event, Sanna Solberg has reached an agreement with Team Esbjerg's management to extend the contract for two more seasons until 30 June 2028.
"I am very happy to extend my contract, so that I have not played the last game for the club. It took some time to get back into top physical shape after the first pregnancy, but it went well. As long as my body allows it and the motivation is there, I would like to play for a few more years. But the time is drawing near", says Sanna Solberg, 35 years old.
The left winger joined Team Esbjerg from Larvik HK in 2016 and has since played 384 matches and scored 1023 goals. Head coach Tomas Axnér is not worried about her durability for another two seasons.
"Of course, we are first and foremost happy on behalf of Sanna and her family that they are expecting their second child, and it does not come completely unexpectedly for us."
"Sanna is in excellent shape, plays almost every match, and continues, and her physicality is very important for us. She can still move us and perform at a high level, and she continues to develop, both with her shooting repertoire and her defensive game", says Tomas Axnér
