The Swedish Hockey League's (SHL) "Green Machine" of Rogle and Frolunda have put seven points between themselves and the chasing pack as they both strolled to shutout wins, while HV 71 have moved off the bottom by thrashing in-form Djurgarden 6-1.

Bottom of the pile since the opening days of the season, HV 71 beat fellow strugglers Linkoping last time out, but have now gone above the same opponents following a 6-1 hammering of Djurgarden, ending the Stockholm side's four-match winning run.

Mattias Tedenby broke the deadlock in the 11th minute, before Aleksi Heponiemi doubled their advantage before the first period was out. It took just over a minute in the second period for Hugo Pettersson to add number three on a powerplay.

Oliver Kylington pulled one back midway through the match, but only 30 seconds later Riley Woods restored the three-goal lead for the rampant Jonkoping side, for whom Woods added his second in the third period, before Nikola Pasic rubbed salt into the wounds with a shorthanded goal.

Coincidentally, it's Djurgarden's first loss since a 7-3 defeat to the same opponents five rounds ago.

HV 71 are off the bottom, and now it's Linkoping propping up the rest on goal difference after they conceded four times in the opening period en route to losing 7-2 at Orebro. The bottom two are one point from safety after Malmo edged mid-table Timra 2-1 at home.

At the top of the table, Rogle reached the 40-point mark and remained a point clear after cruising to a 6-0 win over Lulea.

Six different players got on the scoresheet, while Leon Bristedt and Lucas Ekestahl-Jonsson led the points chart with three each in what was a real team performance. Arvid Holm needed only make 14 saves to earn himself another shutout.

It's four losses in the last five for Lulea, but incredibly, they haven't scored once in any of those losses.

Two goals from Erik Thorell and one from Noah Dower Nilsson allowed Frolunda to stay within one point of Rogle with a game in hand, as they beat Vaxjo 3-0, returning to winning ways after losing the top-of-the-table clash.

The Lakers sit fifth after back-to-back losses, as they could not find a way past Tobias Normann, who only had to make one more save than his Rogle counterpart.

The gap between the top two and the rest is up to seven points, as Skelleftea were on the wrong end of a 5-2 scoreline at home to Brynas, who move into the Playoff picture with consectutive wins. It's Skelleftea's first loss in 60 minutes in nine matches.

Finally, Farjestad moved back into the top six by coming from behind to win 4-2 at home to Leksand, who in turn slip out of the top 10 after failing to build on finally ending their long losing run last time out.
