The Minnesota Vikings traded defensive tackle Harrison Phillips and a 2027 seventh-round pick to the New York Jets on Wednesday.

In return, Minnesota is receiving a 2026 sixth-round pick and a 2027 sixth-round pick.

Phillips spent the past three seasons as a starter for the Vikings.

The 29-year-old defensive tackle is heading back to the AFC East. Phillips was selected in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft by the Buffalo Bills, where he spent four seasons as a backup (45 games, 11 starts).

In 2023, Phillips set a career high with 93 tackles and three sacks. His recent season was a bit of a downgrade in terms of stats (56 tackles, two sacks), but Phillips did not miss a single game during his time with the Vikings.

He has a $9.6 million cap hit this season and is under contract through the 2026 season.
