Missouri will be heading into the season opener against Central Arkansas on August 28th with both Beau Pribula and Sam Horn taking snaps at quarterback.

"I informed the team this afternoon that both quarterbacks will play in the first game," said Drinkwitz. "I want to see them in a game-day situation to make a final determination."

Pribula is a Penn State transfer, while Horn is a redshirt junior who missed last season after receiving Tommy John surgery.

Pribula had some more experience at the position during his time at Penn State. He completed 26 of 35 attempts for 275 yards, five touchdowns, and just one interception last season while rushing for 242 yards and four touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Horn was recently drafted in the 17th round by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 2025 MLB Draft after playing for the Missouri baseball team. Even though Horn did sign with the Dodgers, he elected to continue with his football career at Missouri.

Unlike Pribula, Horn has only thrown eight passes in his entire collegiate career, but one of them was for a touchdown.

Missouri went 10-3 last season after defeating Iowa in the TransPerfect Music City Bowl by a score of 27-24.
