Swedish Europa League outfit Malmo FF confirm that Danish international midfielder and free agent, Christian Eriksen, is currently training with the rest of the squad.

Malmö's press department say, according to bt, dk, that the agreement has come about through Anders Christiansen, whom Eriksen knows from the Danish national team.

The Swedish club have permitted him to keep training with the rest of the squad, but it's uncertain for how long the arrangement will continue.

Malmö refuse to answer any questions in relation to whether Christian Eriksen is negotiating a possible transfer to the Swedish club.

The 33-year-old has been without a club since leaving Manchester United following the expiration of his contract earlier this summer.

Former Ajax, Tottenham Hotspur, Inter, and Brentford man Eriksen can already look back on an impressive career with 650 career appearances, 310 of those in the Premier League.

The charismatic playmaker scored 55 goals and provided 81 assists in the English Premier League and has found the net on 46 occasions in 144 games for Denmark’s national side.

In his final season at Old Trafford, Eriksen only started in just 11 Premier League games but scored five goals and provided six assists in 35 games.

Danish national team coach Brian Riemer left Christian Eriksen out when he selected the squad for the upcoming qualification matches against Scotland and Greece.
