Bo Henriksen is being linked to the vacant job as head coach at RB Leipzig, says Sky Sports Germany.

As RB Leipzig interim coach Zsolt Löw has ruled out a commitment to RB Leipzig beyond the end of the season, the Saxons have to find a new head coach for the coming season.

The search is ongoing, and several candidates are named in the media - including Oliver Glasner, Danny Röhl, Alexander Blessin and Cesc Fabregas.

Now Sky (via fussballtransfers.com) has added Mainz head coach Bo Henriksen, who is under contract until 2027, to the list.

According to the media there is great respect arond the work that Henriksen has done i Mainz, where he saved the club from relegation last season and this season has turned Mainz into a potential challenger for a spot in the Champions League. 

Mainz is currently in 5th place in the Bundesliga table with 46 points, only two points behind fourth place, which is occupied by RB Leipzig.
