The four Swedish clubs still fighting for a place in one of League Phases of the 2025/26 UEFA club competitions have discovered who they could face in the Playoff rounds should they navigate their Third Qualifying Round ties, which begin this week.

Draws for the Playoff rounds in the UEFA Champions League (UCL), Europa League (UEL) and Conference League (UECL) took place in Nyon, Switzerland this afternoon.

In the UCL draw, Allsvenskan champions Malmo will be rewarded for winning the cross-border derby with Copenhagen with a Playoff tie with Swiss side Basel.

However, should the Danish club progress, then Malmo will drop into the UEL and face a Playoff with Sigma Olomouc of the Czech Republic.

Unlike Malmo, Hacken will be glad of a place in the UEL Playoffs. The Svenska Cupen champions face a Third Qualifying Round tie against Brann of Norway, and should they progress, they will meet either AEL Larnaca of Cyrpus, or Poland's Legia Warsaw.

Defeat to Brann, however, will see them enter the Playoffs in the UECL, where they be up against either CFR Cluj from Romania or SC Braga of Portugal.

In the UECL Third Qualifying Round are AIK - who face Gyor of Hungary - and Hammarby, who also face Norwegian opposition in the form of Rosenborg.

Defeat for either will see the ends of their respective European campaigns, but a win for AIK sets up a playoff with one of Scotland's Dundee United or Austria's SK Rapid, while Hammarby would face German side Mainz 05.
