PSV manager Peter Bosz has not given up all hope ahead of his side's return in London after last week's heavy defeat.

Arsenal beat PSV 7-1 in Eindhoven - a record loss for a Dutch side in European competition history. Everyone has given PSV the slimmest chance of progressing to the quarter-finals, but manager Peter Bosz wants nothing to do with those predictions.

"Of course, it would be a huge miracle. But miracles happen sometimes, right?" said Bosz ahead of Wednesday's Champions League matchup. "I think everyone who stood on the pitch last week has that voice in their heads saying: this is not going to happen again.

"Everyone dreamt of playing in stadiums like this as a little boy. It's cool for them to be standing here now. Therefore, there is enough motivation to make it a great match."

PSV have regained some much-needed confidence last weekend after winning their first league game since January 12th. PSV will need that confidence to overcome Wednesday's mammoth challenge, and goalkeeper Walter Benitez will need it even more after last week's mistakes against Arsenal.

However, Peter Bosz has never lost confidence in his goalkeeper. "‘I am satisfied with Walter. You bet he was bothered by that 7-1 against Arsenal. At no point in that match did we feel we had a grip. Then it is also difficult for a goalkeeper."

'We don't want that'

Bosz also announced a change in personnel for Wednesday's game. Several players will get a chance to show themselves on the European stage.

"The Eredivisie is the most important thing for us from now on," Bosz continued at the press conference. "We still have nine games to go, and in all those nine games, we want to do well.

"With an eye on the league, I will make some choices. How did the players come out of the last game, for example? The boys don't know the line-up yet. I'm going to tell them first."

Among those players is defender Armando Obispo, who lost his starting spot to Ryan Flamingo earlier this season and took his place next to Bosz at the press conference. Obispo approaches the game in North London without much fear.

"If we lose 7-1 again tomorrow, we will get all sorts of things thrown at us. We don't want that," said Obispo.

"I don't find it difficult to motivate myself tomorrow. We want to finish our Champions League campaign in the best possible way."

Arsenal and PSV kick off Wednesday at 21.00 CET.
