Come Friday morning, if Djurgarden find themselves in the Final of the UEFA Conference League (UECL), they would have just pulled off perhaps the greatest comeback in the history of European club football.

Tomorrow night, the Stockholm side go to Stamford Bridge for the second leg of their UECL Semi-Final against Chelsea, a side whose squad is valued 44 times more expensive than their own, according to Transfermarkt.

If the financial imbalance wasn't enough, then trailing 4-1 from the home leg only multiplies the size of the task ahead. However, manager Jani Honkavaara explains the mood in the Djurgarden camp is an optimistic one.

"We are finally here in London and the feeling is good overall. The players are excited about what lies ahead and we are really looking forward to stepping out for the match on Thursday," he told the pre-match press conference.

This is the first European last four appearance for an Allsvenskan club in three decades, and to make the most of the occasion, the Finnish manager wants to forget about the first leg and treat tonight as its own game.

"We will not focus so much on the result from the last meeting when we approach the match. It is more important to see it as a separate match and if we are to be able to achieve a good result, it is about chasing after goal by goal."

"But we cannot start the match just to catch up with a result, but must manage the match wisely and then see where it takes us," he added.

Djurgarden's situation is not helped by their mounting injury list - Adam Stahl, Albin Ekdal and Zakaria Sawo all sat out Sunday's draw with AIK, while Oskar Fallenius, Nino Zugelj, Rasmus Schuller, Patric Aslund and Malkolm Nilsson Safqvist are all out.

Despite the absentees, Honkavaara remains in good spirits, "We are bringing some new blood into this match compared to the last meeting at 3Arena. We have had some new question marks since then, but we can still mobilize a strong squad for Thursday's match."

With Chelsea heavy favourites to win the UECL since the start of the season, manager Enzo Maresca could be forgiven for already talking about what the trophy win would mean to the Blues', "Winning a trophy is a statement and you (could then) say Chelsea are back."
