11 - APOEL picked up a 1-1 draw at home to Astana, with both teams finishing with 10 men. The Cypriot side won 11 points in the UECL league phase, the second most they have ever gotten. The 2016/17 campaign saw them earn won point more in their UEFA Europa League group. Astana, who needed a win, are eliminated.
6 - Goals have been hard to come by for Real Betis, who knocked HJK out of Europe with a 1-0 home win. Of the 24 teams to advance past this stage, only Borac Banja Luka (4) scored less than Real Betis' six. The Spanish club scored multiple times just once across the six games as well.
4 - Omonoia Nicosia booked their place in the knockout round playoffs with a 0-0 draw at Borac Banja Luka, who also joined them with the result. The former will want to improve their away form though: they are the only team in the UECL knockout round not to have scored away from home in the league phase. It was also the fourth European game in a row where they were held scoreless on their travels.
9 - Celje managed to hold off The New Saints 3-2 at home to guarantee their place in the knockout rounds. They have been quite tricky to stop at home, with the victory improving their record to nine continental games at home without defeat. They are one of 13 sides playing in the knockout rounds of a UEFA club competition for the very first time.
1 - Cercle Brugge denied Istanbul Basaksehir a place in the top 24 at the death, with the game ending 1-1 in Belgium. In what was their 10th European home game all-time, this is the first time that Cercle have drawn. That point, coupled by other results elsewhere, were enough to see Groen-Zwart finish in the top eight and qualify directly to the round of 16.
26 - Chelsea finished off a perfect group stage, with their 5-1 success over Shamrock Rovers seeing the Blues end up finishing top of the Conference League's inaugural league phase. Their 26 goals at this stage is the most that has ever been scored in a group phase in the competition.
7 - Djurgarden's 3-1 win over Legia Warsaw ensured that the Swedes would qualify directly for the last 16. Despite the defeat, the Poles also avoided the knockout round playoffs. Moreover, in what was their seventh clash against Swedish opposition, this was the first time that Legia did not come out on top, having won the first six games.
36 - Despite already knowing they were out heading into Thursday, Petrocub still went out with a bang. A back-and-forth 2-2 draw at Hearts meant that the Scottish club are out of Europe, losing out on goals scored. For Petrocub, they will finish in 36th place, due to results from other matches. They are one of two teams - the other being LASK - to not win a tie in the league phase.
18 - FC Heidenheim and St Gallen played to a 1-1 stalemate, which turned out to be enough for the Bundesliga club to finish in the top 16 and become seeded in the Conference League knockout round playoffs draw. The goal conceded was St Gallen's 18th of the league phase, the most of any side.
2 - Jagiellonia Bialystok and Olimpija Ljubljana could not find the back of the net in a goalless draw in Poland, resulting in both clubs missing out on the opportunity of finishing in the top eight. However, the Slovenian side created history for themselves, keeping consecutive clean sheets in European away matches for the very first time.
3 - Larne pulled off what has to be the shock of the round, defeating the competition's ever-presents Gent 1-0 in Belfast. In what was the Northern Irish club's first win in a UEFA competition proper, it also meant that their opponents lost all three away games in the league phase. It is the first time Gent lost all three away group games in the UECL, though they have done so twice in the Europa League.
10 - The other club to go winless in the UECL league phase, LASK, drew 1-1 with Vikingur Reykjavik, ending the Austrians' miserable continental run this term. While their Icelandic opponents will enjoy knockout round football for the first time, it also means the Linz-based team will have failed to win a European game this season, having played eight matches this term (qualifiers included). Stretching back to last season, it is 10 without a win for them in UEFA club competition action.
8 - Paphos' maiden European journey sees them continue to impress. Their last-gasp goal saw them draw 2-2 with Lugano, a pretty solid achievement for the Cypriot League leaders. Perhaps even more impressive is the fact that they scored eight goals on their travels in the league phase, despite losing all four of their qualifying-round away games. Only Chelsea (9) scored more away goals this fall.
21 - In what was a thrilling match, Molde twice came from behind, finding a winner at the beginning of second-half stoppage time to edge Mlada Boleslav 4-3. The Norwegians progress to the knockout stages at their Czech opponents' expense. The 21 shots Molde took in that game was the most they have had in any of the Conference League matches this season.
0 - Panathinaikos pulled off three wins on the spin to end their UECL league phase campaign, the latest being their 4-0 success over the now-eliminated Dinamo Minsk. The former European Cup finalists were the only team not to concede during the second half of the league phase, climbing up to 13th place in the final ranking.
5 - Rapid Wien impressed in their clash, beating FC Kobenhavn 3-0 at home to finish fourth in the league phase. That leaves the two-time UEFA Cup Winners Cup finalists entering directly at the round of 16. Rapid also finished the league phase conceding just five times - that is the joint fewest, along with Chelsea, Legia, Jagiellonia, and Real Betis.
19 - TSC Backa Topola will enjoy knockout football in Europe for the first time after sparking a remarkable comeback late on to beat Noah 4-3. They are just the third team from Serbia to successfully negotiate a continental group phase, joining Crvena Zvezda and Partizan. The last four games of the league phase, where TSC earned their seven points, were quite dramatic. A whopping 19 goals were scored in those games, with TSC getting 10 while conceding nine.
12 - Vitoria Guimaraes joined Chelsea as the only other side to finish the league phase without a defeat. The 1-1 draw at home to Fiorentina ensured that the Portuguese club finished second. However, when including qualifiers, Vitoria are the only team left in the UECL not to have lost in Europe at all, going 12 games unbeaten (10-2-0).
