Ajax manager Francesco Farioli (35) refused to talk about a possible Eredivisie title after his side's dramatic Klassieker win over bitter rivals Feyenoord.

Ajax beat Feyenoord 2-1 after Kenneth Taylor bagged the Klassieker winner in the 94th minute - a goal which put Ajax just two points behind league leaders PSV with a game in hand.

But even though his side are firmly in the heated title race, Farioli refused to entertain any talk about a possible league title.

"We remain calm and we have to keep both feet on the ground," said Farioli. "And we don't look at other clubs. We focus on ourselves.

"For the umpteenth time we gave everything,  We showed we wanted to win. I can only thank my players very much. They kept delivering energy. They showed that they want to give everything for this club."

Taylor scored after receiving a stellar pass from Danish right-back Anton Gaaei. The Dane is filling in for Devyne Rensch after his transfer to AS Roma in January and is impressing after some rough months in his early Ajax career.

His Italian boss wanted to make sure his performances are seen, even though he called the win a "team performance."

"I do want to highlight the role of Anton Gaaei. Last year he was substituted already in the first half of our home game against Feyenoord. And now he delivered a great cross to Taylor. That cross got us this win."

The fanatically coaching Italian was seen with teary eyes during his team's lap of honour. When asked if he wanted to relive that moment, he declined to.

"If I do I will cry again!"
