PSV beat Feyenoord 3-0 in what felt like a knock-out punch for the title race. The Eindhoven outfit, who have won two Eredivisie titles on the spin, are now 17 points clear at the top of the table.
An hour after the game, Peter Bosz and the club confirmed they'd extended the contract of the successful manager, which now runs until 2028.
"It's no secret that I'm really enjoying myself at PSV," Bosz said in a club statement.
"I'm very happy with this contract extension and hope that we will win many more trophies together. Let's enjoy this moment now, especially after the wonderful victory over Feyenoord, and then focus fully on the cup match against SC Heerenveen."
Successful tenure
Bosz joined PSV in 2023 following the departure of Ruud van Nistelrooy. PSV nearly went invincible in Bosz's first season in charge, after which the Eindhoven giants won back-to-back titles after erasing Ajax's 11-point lead in the last two months of the season.
Now, PSV are well on their way to a third consecutive title under Bosz, who has been extensively linked to the Netherlands job - one Bosz has openly aspired for years.
Despite that job potentially opening up after this year's FIFA World Cup, Bosz stays put in Eindhoven, much to the delight of director Earnest Stewart.
"We are very pleased with Peter and have enjoyed a fantastic working relationship for two and a half seasons. Not only has he achieved tremendous success on the pitch, he has also established a clear playing style and culture within the club that everyone can identify with," said Stewart.
"The development of the team and individual players is impressive and fits perfectly with PSV's ambitions. We are confident that we will experience many more wonderful moments together in the years to come."
