PSV midfielder Joey Veerman is reportedly on his way to Fenerbahce after the 20-time Turkish champions activated his release clause.

According to Turkish outlet Fanatik and Farbizio Romano, the 27-year-old Veerman has agreed on personal terms with Fenerbahce and will reportedly cost the Turkish giants around €23 million via a clause that will go into effect on January 1st, 2026.

Veerman joined PSV for €6 million from Heerenveen in January 2022 and is in the middle of his best season at PSV, where the midfielder has recorded six assists and a career-high eight goals in 15 Eredivisie matches.

The 16-time Netherlands international extended his PSV contract until 2028 in November 2024, just months after the club rejected his first transfer abroad. Last summer, Brentford were prime candidates to sign Veerman, but a move never materialised.

The Premier League outfit were rumoured to go after Veerman again in January, but are set to miss out on the midfielder again. According to reports, Fenerbahce offered the midfielder 'massive' wages close to Veerman's demand of €4 million annually.

In 177 games for PSV, Veerman scored 31 goals and provided 59 assists.
