Manager Brian Priske of Feyenoord said he wasn't unhappy after the team's 1-2 loss at home to FC Utrecht and that he'll stay calm after their second consecutive defeat.

An inefficient Feyenoord wasted an arsenal of chances against Utrecht side which managed to score with two of their three shots on target.

The loss meant that Feyenoord are now 11 points behind league leaders PSV and seven points away from direct qualification for the UEFA Champions League.

"I thought we played well. We weren't brilliant, but we deserved the three points", Priske said during the press conference following the home game against direct rivals Utrecht, who are now four points ahead of the Rotterdam side.

"If you were to look only at the table, it is worrisome.

"However, we have to look beyond that. With how we play, Feyenoord will be fine”

Falling behind

Feyenoord could've booked a statement win against Utrecht after PSV dropped points in their home game against AZ, who narrowed the gap to Feyenoord to just two points down from the sixth spot in the Eredivisie.

"It does not worry me at all", Priske noted about not taking the opportunity to close the gap to PSV.

"Of course it hurts, but I don't look at it every day. We have to put out good games, then you're going to win a lot of points. I remain calm under it.”

Asked whether he got mad at his team after the game, the Dane answered with a heated expression: "Why should I?"

Winger Igor Paixao fired a free kick at the post after which Mexican striker Santiago Gimenez and Juventus transfer target David Hancko missed several chances. Utrecht profited with two goals in quick succession after an hour of play.

"We played a very good game. We were the best team, but out of nowhere it was 0-2. That's when it gets tough.

"If I look at result, I should be angry. But with the game we played, on the contrary, I should be satisfied.

"I am very proud of the team. I hope everyone sees that we were pretty good."
