England striker Lauren James was substituted during the semi-final victory over Italy with an ankle injury, but "made it through" training, coach of the reigning European champions Sarina Wiegman told a press conference on Saturday.

"We had 23 players on the pitch today and everyone went all the way," Wiegman said.

"If everyone recovers well, everyone will be ready for tomorrow."

Lioness captain Leah Williamson was also upbeat about the return of the number seven to the squad: "We have a team of talented players and Lauren James brings something different. So having her available is the best news for us."

James' return is timely for Wiegman, who is about to compete in her fifth consecutive tournament final and is savouring the moment.

"Reaching the final is already very special, and there are only two teams that can do it. It's very special. We want to win a final and we'll do everything we can to do that," she said.

"We've learned from them (Spain) in the games we've played. Tomorrow will be a different scenario, but I hope we can build on our strengths and take advantage of their weaknesses."
