FC Midtjylland will face Hibernian FC in the second qualifying round for the Europa League.

FC Midtjylland will have to face Scottish Hibernian in their quest to proceed in the Europa League qualification.

That was decided on Wednesday, when UEFA made the draw at their headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland.

The Danes will play the first game at home on July 24, and the return match is in Edinburgh on July 31.

In total, FC Midtjylland will have to go through three qualifying stages to reach the league phase of the Europa League where they finished in the 20th spot overall last season followed by a 3-7 aggreagate defeat against Real Sociedad in the playoffs.

Should FC Midtjylland lose in the qualifying phase they will be relegated to the Conference League, where Brondby and Silkeborg also participate.
