After the curtains came down for the men’s 2026 FIFA Series, the action will return with the FIFA Women’s Series with Kenya set to host the inaugural tournament together with four national teams at Nyayo National Stadium, Nairobi.

The FIFA Series features an impressive total of 50 men’s and women’s national teams competing in 13 groups across 12 host nations from all six continents.

In Kenya, the competition will feature Harambee Starlets alongside Australia, India, and Malawi. For Harambee Starlets, the Series presents a valuable chance to compete against diverse opposition and gain further experience.

Apart from Kenya hosting, the three other scheduled women’s groups will take place in Brazil – the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027 host – Ivory Coast, and Thailand.

The 2026 edition will feature three different four-team series taking place across three host countries, during the FIFA window of April 9-12.

When are Nairobi fixtures?

The competition will feature Harambee Starlets alongside Australia, India, and Malawi, with matches scheduled from April 11 to April 15.

The tournament will kick off on Saturday, April 11, with two matches lined up at Nyayo Stadium. Harambee Starlets will face India at 6.00 pm (EAT), in the day’s headline fixture, while Australia will take on Malawi earlier at 2.00 pm at the same venue.

The FIFA Series will conclude on Wednesday, April 15, with the third-place play-off set to be played at 2.00 pm (EAT), followed by the final at 6.00 pm (EAT, to determine the inaugural FIFA Women’s Series champion.

How to watch FIFA Series matches?

Matches will be streamed worldwide on FIFA platforms and through regional broadcast partners. In Kenya, local coverage will be provided by TV47 and Radio47, who have indicated they will be showing the matches.

FKF boss message regarding the Series

Kenya’s Football Kenya Federation (FKF) President Hussein Mohammed welcomed the development, noting the Series provides a significant opportunity for the growth of the game in the country.

“Hosting this tournament is a big step for Kenya’s football. It not only gives our national team valuable international exposure but also strengthens our capacity to organise and deliver competitions at the highest level,” said Mohammed during the unveiling ceremony as quoted by FKF website.

Kenya’s cabinet Secretary for Sports Salim Mvurya said: “Being able to host a tournament of this nature reflects the progress Kenya is making in sports development.

“It shows that we are moving in the right direction and strengthening our place on the global map. We appreciate the Federation’s alignment with the broader vision of growing sports in the country.”

Kenya squad unveils squad for Series

Harambee Starlets coach Beldine Odemba has unveiled a 31-member provisional squad for the Series. Key players in the squad include Marion Serenge, who earned her first senior national team call-up.

The provisional squad further includes the return of Terry Engesha, whose recent performances since joining Kenya Police Bullets have seen her work her way back into the national team set-up.

Odemba, speaking after naming the squad, said: “We are looking forward to the FIFA Women’s Series as an important part of our preparations for WAFCON.

“Playing against teams with different styles and strong international experience will help us assess the progress we have made and identify areas we need to improve.”

The FIFA Series in Brazil will take place in Cuiabá from April 11, and will involve the host nation Brazil, Canada (CONCACAF), South Korea (AFC), and Zambia (CAF).

Elsewhere, in Ivory Coast, where Series be played in Abidjan, it will involve hosts Ivory Coast (CAF), Mauritania (CAF), Pakistan (AFC) and Turks and Caicos Islands (CONCACAF).

The Series in Thailand will take place in Ratchaburi, and will involve the host Thailand (AFC), DR Congo (CAF), Indonesia (AFC) and New Caledonia (OFC). Nepal (AFC) was initially going to participate, but withdrew and was replaced by Indonesia.
