Denmark will face African World Cup contender DR Congo on 3 June and four days later Ukraine in two friendlies, says the Danish FA.

The Danish men's national football team will face Ukraine in Odense and World Cup participant DR Congo in Belgium in two friendlies in June. The Danish Football Association (DBU) announced this on its website on Thursday evening.

Denmark will face DR Congo in Liège, Belgium, on 3 June 3, while Ukraine will be waiting in Odense four days later.

"We are in the process of playing a new team in for the Nations League and the 2028 European Championships after a major generational change. The team needs to play more matches together and strengthen relations."

"We do this best by being tested against good opponents, as we will be tested in these two matches, and hopefully we have most of our players available", says Brian Riemer on the federation website.

Denmark failed to qualify for this summer's World Cup finals in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
