The Brighton & Hove Albion man was on target in the 2-0 win away in Hungary on Saturday and has impressed across his 11 caps so far.
The 21-year-old was certainly not lacking self-belief in the pre-match press conference.
"I think I deserve to play. When you have received a lot of trust, you can take more responsibility, but everyone helps each other so it's quite easy."
I am proud and happy with myself. Sometimes you have to pat yourself on the back and be satisfied with what you have accomplished. It is big what I have done, but it is just to continue," he added.
Building a team to be ready for Sweden's 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign which begins in September, having finding partnerships that work is key for manager Jon Dahl Tomasson, and Ayari looks to be crucial for his team moving forward.
"He is an excellent player and has been so during my time. And he is still young. We want to play in a way that entertains and he can entertain."
However, the Brighton player is perhaps not his main focus for the tie at Strawberry Arena, "I have not seen Hugo so much. Ayari and Saletros have done well. Even Jesper Karlstrom will get minutes."
Sweden will make some changes from the Hungary match - Viktor Johansson is expected to start in goal instead of Robin Olsen, though Victor Lindelof will again play no part as he awaits the birth of his child.
Tomasson is expecting a real test from an Algeria side in good form, "A team that is undefeated in 12 matches. I want us to face a different opponent. It could be good before, hopefully, the World Championship. They play fast football, a bit like you play on the street."
Ayari added, "It will be fun. A new task to try to show people that we are a good team. A team with many individually skilled players, good one on one. It is about being connected."
