If FC Copenhagen and Brondby will meet in the Danish Cup final, the match will be played with a significantly reduced capacity, says the professional body of the Danish FA (Divisionsforeningen) in a press release.

If Brondby IF and FC Copenhagen end up in the cup final against each other, the match will be played in front of a maximum of 15,000 spectators at Brøndby Stadium, which otherwise has room for around 28,000.

The measures are taken for security reasons and is rooted in the punishment that Brøndby and FCK are currently facing as a result of crowd disturbances in a match between them earlier in the season.

Due to the punishment, no away supporters are allowed for the "New Firm" derbies for an indefinite period of time.

The press release also states that Silkeborg IF and FCK will play a possible cup final against each other at the MCH Arena in Herning 'to ensure the best possible outcome.'

The cup final will take place on May 29th in any case, and it will take place at Brondby Stadium in three out of four possible scenarios:

• Brondby IF - Viborg FF (Brondby Stadium at full capacity)

• Silkeborg IF - Viborg FF (Brondby Stadium at full capacity)

• Brondby IF - FCK (Brondby Stadium with a maximum of 15,000 spectators)

• Silkeborg IF - FCK (MCH Arena at full capacity)

The organizers are also working on additional security measures for a possible final between Brondby and FCK. This applies, for example, to a closed area around Brondby Stadium and identity checks, which could include MitID if a suitable technical solution is found.
