Moroccan international striker Hakim Ziyech (31) has announced that he will be leaving Galatasaray in January and, in Turkey, the former Chelsea and Ajax player has been linked with Benfica.

"Galatasaray is over for me, I've told them I'm leaving in January. They don't ask me anything any more, I do what I want. I've never seen a coach as bad as Okan Buruk. If Galatasaray win the title? I don't care... Leave me alone, whatever happens. I already regret coming. I should have left at the start of the season, but they didn't want me to. I'm leaving in January," said Ziyech, in statements revealed by the Turkish programme Spor Gecesi, according to which the Moroccan is said to have uttered the phrases while travelling from Istanbul to Amsterdam.

This Friday, the Turkish newspaper Fanatik puts Benfica among the clubs interested in Hakim Ziyech, as well as Rennes.

Hakim Ziyech has made just 11 appearances for Galatasaray this season and hasn't scored a goal. As a professional, he has also represented Chelsea, Ajax, Twente and Heerenveen and has a contract until June 2025.
