Christian Eriksen has been awarded with a special Premier League prize to recognize the 300 appearances he's made in the competition, says Manchester United on their website.

Eriksen passed the 300 game milestone earlier this month, when he came on as a substitute against Crystal Palace at Old Trafford.

The prolific Danish midfielder made 226 league appearances for Tottenham between 2013 and 2020 and added another 11 during a short spell at Brentford, when he returned to the league in 2022 folowing his heart operation

Later that year, he signed for United and has represented Ruben Amorim's side 63 times so far.

Eriksen is the leading Danish scorer in Premier League history, with 54 goals, and he is also 12th in the all-time assists charts, just three behind David Beckham.

Eriksen is very proud of what he's achieved in the English game and is still enjoying life in the league.

“It's been fun with all the different challenges, with different styles of play from different managers, different players," he said.

“I would say, after I left Spurs to go to Italy, I thought I'm never coming back to the Premier League, so that's also a sign of how quickly things change in football", says Eriksen to the Manchester United website.

“Yeah, that's just what happened and I really enjoyed my time at Brentford. I’ve really enjoyed my time here and I am still.

“I think, if you look at all the stats you're mentioning and the numbers and whatever comes back down in history later, I mean, that's just the benefit of what I've done and what I've achieved."

“But no, I'm proud of, first of all, the games, but also the times I could be involved in scoring a goal or setting up a goal.

“Yeah, I’ve made history for a Danish guy", says Eriksen.

Eriksen could feature for United again when they face Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon.
