Nottingham Forest boss Sean Dyche has admitted speaking with the club's youth teamers about their wage demands.

Dyche says it's important they don't chase the money as trainees.

Speaking to The Times, Forest manager Dyche said, “I work with a lot of young players who are suddenly earning crazy money, and I try to offer them advice, but that’s not always possible with their families or advisers or agents about.

"I try to say to them, 'slow yourself down', but if I’m totally honest, if I earned the money some of them are earning when I was 20, I’d have been a right berk.

"I’m not going to stop them from being a little bit outlandish because I think that’s human nature.

"But you need to take stock when you get to a point where you’re no longer representing your own life. That’s when they need a bit of education."
