Former Chelsea midfielder Ulises Davila has admitted involvement in a £100,000 yellow-card fixing scam while playing in Australia’s A-League.

The 34-year-old was on Chelsea’s books for five years but never made an appearance for the Premier League side during his time.

Davila has now pleaded guilty to orchestrating a scheme that would see teammates receive deliberate yellow cards, resulting in nearly £100,000 in illegal betting payouts.
